Saturday Pome

All the way to work I went

and now I know what an *** is

after I get there I find out

I’m wearing the wrong glasses!

All the way back home I went

to get my proper spec

said to myself, I’ve a moment or two

enough time, the Y/A to check.

Now I’m already, go back out the door

with ‘puter glasses on my face

back in again, the right ones get

I’ll never get out of this place!

Great fun...even though the poem hits a little too close to home.  I find myself coming back to get my reading glasses and muttering, "Peter you horse's ***, get your $hit together" so often, it may one day be engraved on the stone that marks my fnal resting place.  Of course, I'd prefer something more poetic, but I'll probably get this instead.  C.S., Saturday poems are indeed fun, and if they are so oft' more fun than the thing they celebrate, then let us at least celebrate the things in those days which cause us to stop and laugh at the world, at ourselves...[there, you've said it, Peter, you horse's ***]

Happy Saturday afternoon to you.  I'm wearing my specs and I still can't see the screen. I have an appointment to get my head...I mean my eyes examined on Tuesday morning.
