Don't you think for poor people like me with little cash, charity shops are good.?

I buy books for 50p, 10p and £1. They give me education. Also you get cheap furniture for your home too. Whats your views on charity shops ?

  1. They are great! I have found treasures as well as everyday items for great prices.  The fact that you are buying books tells me you are smart person!


  2. Respect,if you are having tough times and are poor,I encourage you to use charity to help get you by. Do not be ashamed to do so. I have fell on some pretty hard times,myself and have had to look to charities for help my own self.What I do is donate time,money,clothing and food when i am doing o.k. to help people who have helped me through some tough times. There is a movie named "pay it forward" and if you help out when you are doing better you will have paid it forward by helping someone  who is needing help. I hope things get better for you,Respect.   3. i love them, I do most of my shopping there.  It not only provides jobs for people, the proceeds help the charity, I get great deals and it is a win, win situation for all parties!  I have found some brand new clothing with tags still on them.  A wonderful sofa and loveseat, tables, chairs, heaters, appliances like toasters, hairsetters, etc.  Love shopping where my dollar actually can s t r e t c h.......

  4. Are you kidding... shops like that are good for the rich folks too!  You never know what treasure you're going to find at those places!

  5. I love charity shops.  I think they are great and have bought many items there. Plus you know that the proceeds are going to help others so everyone wins!

  6. Yes. They are a great way to get things real cheap. Habitat for Humanity is a great place to get good stuff.

  7. great there are charity shops, we call it here in the philippines "ukay-ukay" which roughly means one have to "dig and dig" among those stuffs until finding what is needed.

    however, the local textile manufacturers/ importers are sometimes complaining against the government bc they are experiencing poor sales.

  9. I'm a reseller so I love them.  I buy most my clothes and whatever else I find I need in them.  I don't care whether something is used as long as it is functional.

  10. You are not poor.  You may not have a lot of cash or you just spend it badly.

    Remember on persons cast offs is another persons valuable find.

    Spending less and getting more is common sense.

    What is little cash, in dollars I don't know from pounds.

  11. I found a white flower vase for my mum from a charity shop.  They help me afford a birthday present for mum one year.
