Don't you think great horses make the competition look bad

I see some idiots say "Who did Big Brown beat?" or "competition was nothing". Don't you think that is an idiotic thing to say? On Kentucky Derby day you have to beat 19 other winning horses in their top form. Especially if you win from post 20 don't you have to be a super horse?

  1. Big Brown beat the most elite competition in the country yesterday.  So how can anybody say that the "competition was nothing".  Winning from post 20, and being the first horse to win in many years with only 3 lifetime starts is an amazing feat.

  2. he was the best horse on the day, no question!

time will tell of his greatness! and people who make the comment "who did big brown beat?" well they prob just sore losers who lost all there money!

  3. yeah, they say that anytime a horse pulls off an amazing feat.

eight belles, colonel john, they were good horses he beat.

but i doubt big brown will take the triple crown. it'll probably be a smarty jones scenario.

  4. Only on his best days, the days when he wins, does a great horse make the competition look bad.  The next day, the horses who were at the back of the pack may have their good day and the great horse may end up at the back of the pack.

If great horses consistently made their competition look bad, it wouldn't be as difficult to win the Triple Crown as it is!
