Don't you think it would be a better game if they kept the same players on for the whole 20 minutes?

I put skates on at 2 years old, I think that says it all.

Have you ever played hockey? Or even skated?  these guys would run out of gas way early if they were played for the whole 20 minutes, not to mention injuries.

No. Ther players would be out of NRG FAST.

It get's REALLY crappy after about 8min

This isn't a video game where you have the option of turning fatigue off and on.

no because hockey is an anaerobic sport.  you give your all the whole time you are on the ice, or you sit the bench!

Shifts are 30 - 45 seconds  99% of the time, or your not skating/playing your hardest...
