  3. yes , it's been nice you knowing you .

  4. No.

  5. NO!!!!! ITS ALL OUR FAULT THAT THEY ARE ENDANGERED!!!! BUT IF WE DID WE START OUT WITH YOUR STUPID RUBBER DUCK WHICH YOU ARE A LITTLE TO OLD TO BE HAVING THEN WE WOULD MOVE ON TO YOU. OH YEA I WENT THERE!

  6. how onn earth can you say that when its out fault in the first place that the species on endangered!!

  7. Yea of course! Starting with men!!!

  8. Who's worrying?

  9. What a stupid and ridiculous question.

  11. You are a very disturbed person, how can you be so selfish?

  12. What people don't understand about this issue is the ecology behind it.

Many endangered species are what is called "keystone" species. Like the name implies, they are the species in which an ecosystem is reliant upon. If you were to remove all of the keystone species from the earth at one time, what would happen?

Now, here is my argument for you:

If we live on an infinitessimally small speck in the middle of an infinitely large universe, and all of the life that has ever been or ever will be is on that speck, then isn't it our responsibility to nurture the miracle of life? Isn't that the inherent message in most religions? Our intelligence gives us not only the power to change the world, but the responsibility to do so in a manner that respects the miracle that is one life.

Every day we go without harmony amongst living things is another step toward our armageddon.

  13. 99% of endangered species are so because of mans impact on the planet so we are the ones responsbile

  14. yes yes finally

  15. Nah.  But I don't think we need to worry about them so much.  If they die off then that's natural selection.  In the UNLIKELY event that they are a keystone species, then another species will evolve to fill the void,  C'mon, you good liberal evolutionists.  Either it happens or it doesn't.

  16. What a lovely idea!

Then we would have to develop the technology to filter our water from pollutants (job currently carried out by trees, plants and bottom dwelling animals), break down our decaying and organic matter into basic elements so we have soil for future crops and plants (currently this vacancy is filled by all decomposers and detritivores, many endangered e.g. hissing cockroach and is partly responsible for powering of  phosporus and nitrogen cycles) and find a way to filter our air so it is breathble at the correct concentrations of gasses (POSITION TAKEN BY ALL PLANTS AT THE MO). Course, this has be estimated at billions of pounds, which is unrealistic as we dont even have the technology yet and all attempts to make such an artificial earth system have failed miserably.  the last attempt ended in a single species of ant surviving and emaciated scientists going to hospital.

    Still, worth a try heh?

(Please note, am not at all serious about actually doing it: completley sarcastic at the suggestion of killing all endangered life forms: since we would end up on that list alongside everthing else!).

  17. yes, a shot gun is a good start, then poison, then bombs from a plane, but i have a feeling there still would be a few survivors to keep populating

  18. Why not it is the american way.. It is about time we annihalate any endangered species that gets in our way.. After all man's needs are most important.. I would hate to see a time when endangered species were in abundance while man's time on earth was about to expire.. Even though we came last to his earth.. As humans we are entitled to all the earth recources and heaven help any law that leaves any species above our inalienable right to plunder our own land......

  19. Hasn't anybody heard about natural selection?

We all like to think that we are above nature, but we are not.  We are a part of nature.  Therefore, everything we do is natural.  If a species is wiped out, then I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

...If our effects on the planet cause the downfall of the human race, then  I guess we weren't meant to be....

    ...Oh, darn...

... I guess we need make sure that doesn't happen!!!
