Don't you think nature should have made it more difficult and more of a conscious choice to be parents?

Not knocking parents in general, it's just I feel for lots of children who are not made to feel special or worse are abused in one way or another. I know there is birth control, but in reality it often isn't used and/or it isn't always successful.

  1. Well, in nature, there are actually quite a few animals that are capable of controlling their fertility until they feel the time is right. There are even animals that can purposefully abort their fetuses if they feel the time in not right.

Human beings as a species are not what any scientist might refer to as "fit." We aren't the fastest, we don't see great, hear great, don't have great endurance... And, the reason for this is because of our brains. There was never a need to be physically powerful because we always manage to develop mentally.

So, on that note, did nature/ evolution give us a way to have a conscience choice about being parents? Yeah, it did. 1. We developed various forms of birth control, which if used, are fairly effective. 2. We developed knowledge of how to induce abortions. It's been well known through out the history of man the various herbs and physical means by which a woman who did not want to carry her fetus to term could consciously abort it. We still have that today, and now it is safer, and more reliable. Only problem with it is that some people think it's wrong, and are trying to keep other women from having access to it. Nature gave us plenty of choices, people are the ones not taking nature up on its offer.
