Already, skinheads making plots against Obama. Yeah, I can't help but believe that we just have a large number of people in this country vehemently opposed to a black President. That sure sucks considering they'll vote for McBush just because they are ignorant obnoxious racists.

  1. Not in all cases, but there are still a whole bunch of ignorant people that would or would not vote for someone because of the pigment of their skin.

  2. I am slowly losing faith in the people of this country.  We claim to be a country of opportunity for all no matter race, creed or color, but how do we treat someone that makes it?   We call him an “Uppity ******”.  The real issue is that Obama is Black.  Nobody will admit to it but it is a real factor.  Hillary, inexperience and arrogance are just excuses.  If you accuse someone of being racist they will tell you “no I am not some of my best friends are Black”.  Yes they are, if you consider a best friend someone you say hi to at the kid’s soccer game.  But ask yourself this, would ever travel with them to Compton to one of their family’s functions?  No you wouldn’t.  How do I know, because my wife and I are the Mexicans of the “some of my best friends are Mexican”.  Americans talk a good game but we are all just scared.

We collectively as a nation are not ready for a black man in the White House.  We feel inspired by Obama and scared of him at the same time.  We are scared that young Black boys and girls will suddenly feel equal to our children.  We feel scared that young Black boys and girls will have someone else to look up to rather than athletes or rappers.  Scared that young Black boys and girls will leave the corners and start hanging out in libraries.  Scared that they will start to believe they can do anything.  Look what Tiger did for golf and the Williams sisters did in for tennis.  Young children of limited means not just Black but poor Whites, Hispanics and everyone now believes they can play sports once thought to be only for the rich.  Yes America is afraid of HOPE.  Hope means anyone can do anything.  Hope means anyone can succeed.  What will we do with the educated masses when their eyes are opened the opportunities that have been reserved for those of privilege.

Yes Black people are voting for Obama because he gives hope to their children that you can be anything.  Everyday we tell our kids "you can be anything" but were are the examples.  The Obamas could have made it and hid from their past inside some gated community and at some fancy country club but they went back to their community to help lift others out.  They are fighting to bring jobs to all Americans so we won't need welfare.  In America if you want to work you should be able to find a job that pays a living wage.  If you get up in the morning and put in your 40 hours you should be able to pay the rent and feed your children.

Don't vote for Obama because he is Black.  Vote for Obama because he is what America is all about.  Barack and Michelle are the American dream.

  3. Your average republican is both a racist and a r****d, so it's not surprising to see them being against having Obama as our next president.

  4. So you are voting for him simply because he is black?  If so...then you are more of a moron than those you claim are racists.

  5. I think racism is the only reason Obama has a lead over McCain. The racism comes in 2 forms. Blacks who are almost all voting for him because he is black. Whites who are voting for him because they think it's time we have a black in the white house. No white person with his lack of experience as a senator or ultra liberal voting record could have made it that far.

  6. White liberals are why he is where he is, end of story.

As far as everybody else goes it is a mixed bag.  A lot of fringe White Nationalists actually support him to win because they believe that "worse is better"  for now.

There may be something to that.

Other blacks have offered every conceivable objection to Obama so I could hardly say that I have observed uniform opinion among people of color.

Sure there are a minority of people who will simply not vote for a "black" president, but to be honest Obama doesn't exactly make a good case to convince them otherwise.

  7. I think that the white ancestral half of Obama is the main reason a guy with 143 days in the Senate is getting the Democratic nomination to run for President.

  8. No.. I believe racism and white guilt are the only reasons Obama won the primary.

  9. the reason I won't vote for Obama has nothing to do with race. Like Kerry and Gore I just don't believe hes qualified to do the job.

  10. You're implying that those skinheads would have voted for Kerry, Gore, and Clinton.  I'm not sure I agree with you.

  11. I think Obama's being half black is the only reason he got this far. He is black and that is his only appeal to people.

  12. yeah of course,

    race is an issue there,

  13. <sigh> what is it about socialism don't you understand?

  14. Racism will have some weight...hopefully not enough to discourage the next great Prez!

  15. Racism is a double edged sword, Obama had all the black votes when he was running against Hillary in the nominations, would you classify them as obnoxious racists ? I would certainly agree with you that racism has a lot to do with the outcome of the elections but there are also other factions to be considered, e.i. policies, health care, patriotism, economy, etc.

  16. Your case doesn't hold water when you consider he had 90% of the black vote in the primaries and the only vote he didn't hold was the older women vote.

Where is the racism? Are the older women racist? Or perhaps the black voters?

Believe what you want, but try to consider the facts.

If the majority doesn't like Obama for any reason, he won't be elected.

  17. Yes, I agree.  Obama is a racist, as evidenced by his 20-year association with Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan.  I don't think people want a racist in the White House, and that is part of the reason why Obama has fallen so much in the polls.  Another reason for his decline is that people don't think he is tough enough and is inexperienced and naive.

  18. That's the beauty of America, you can think whatever you want about my reasons for voting for or against Obama and it doesn't really matter.

You may think me a racist if I vote against Obama and I can think you are an idiot for voting for him and everything still ok in the morning.

  19. No.  I believe in justice and equality for all people and do not object to a Black President.  However, competency and intelligence are not attached to race, as in, anyone can run and be capable with the right qualities.  This is why the whole analogy is wrong.

Election of Obama will not change one thing for African-Americans in terms of jobs, housing, literacy, etc.  He would become a status symbol.  That cannot make up for past historical injustices.  It may alienate other ethnicities, but there are more compelling reasons for rejecting him as future President

    1.  He is too pro-Israeli

    2.  At the same time he is too pro-Israeli (compromising on settlements and Jerusalem too much) he also condones Palestinian extremism, which people should find deplorable.

    3.  He is a former cocaine user.

    4.  He has hidden his Muslim past and the religious heritage of his father.

    5.  While claiming to be Black, he is actually of mixed ancestry.

    6.  He comes from a very privileged background.  This makes him out-of-touch with the mainstream.  He has that 'white satin gloves' feel to him.

    7.  Urban poor Black Americans do not like or trust him.

    8.  He and his wife have made racial slurs.  A racial slur is a racial slur no matter who it is against.

    9.  Jeremiah White, his former pastor, makes outrageous statements including accusations against the government that are paranoid, e.g. accusing them of creating HIV and going after African-Americans in a deliberate campaign to infect them.

    10.  He can't handle criticism.  He can't defend himself.

    11.  His wife takes up his cause too much.

    12.  His wife has a poor attitude about re-election and campaigning (Barbara Walters interview earlier this year).

    13.  His wife defends him instead of him.

    14.  His economic platform is anti-capitalist.

    15.  He now favors the 'war on terrorism' which places him in the same category as neo-con John McCain.

    16.  His social welfare plans will bankrupt America.

    17.  His policies are bad for business and workers.

    18.  He doesn't have the support of any significant trade unions, business leaders and economists.

    19.  No experience in foreign policy.

    20.  No sound policy on oil production and global warming.

  20. Funny - I know a lot of black people not voting for Obama because he cannot be trusted - has questionable associates - hangs out with racist black separatists, crooks like Rezko, and home-grown terrorists like Bill Ayers.

The Obama camp are the racists.

  21. I think that white guilt and black racism is the main reason a guy with 143 days in the Senate is getting the democrat nomination to run for President.

  22. I agree with you dude...Some people aren't voting for him only because he is black.

  23. or maybe they just agree with him.......hmmm
