  1. I understand your point.  However, I also understand by your question that you have never served.  

    The role of the soldier is to give his life to the USA to do with as it sees fit.  I served in a conflict that I did not agree with and would have voted against.  But as a serviceman, you do your duty.

    The role of the American public is to vote for people who will take their duties and responsibilities as seriously as those who fight, and kill and die for their country.

  4. Yes they should. If fact...every SINGLE ONE OF THEM has already voted YES on the day they held up their hand at the MEPS station and swore their Oath of Enlistment on the day they signed the paperwork. It is also CLEARLY WRITTEN on the Enlistment documents that are volunteering for combat duty if called upon to do so,,,WITHOUT QUESTION.

    They don't HAVE THE OPTION to say NO at a later date....that is a  breech of their contract with the US Government punishable by imprisonment and court martial if they refused to do so.

  6. They DO; EVERY 4 years. Afterall, You DON'T enter the Military without understanding the possibility that you could end up fighting in a War at any moment. That's what the Military is THERE for. -It's not a career for Plumbers that you're Enlisting for...  :0
