More abortions, less teenage mothers, less welfare and HUD applicants, less overpopulation...i mean..that is just my thinking although I could be wrong..

I am all for abortions...it has helped alot of people that I know that aren't ready for children...and you also have to consider that the only birth control is no s*x. condoms, pill, injections all have loopholes...

What do you do if the condom breaks and your 18yrs old with no job and you just got into Yale University...should you put your young life on hold to raise a b*****d baby? You know you are always safe, but this one time the condom breaks and your whole life flashes before your eyes.....what do you do.....

I am a strong beleiver of abstinence, I am a virgin myself ( 24yrs old)

I think those that are against it are more religious then realist

  1. I am sorry, this question just reminded me of an essay written by Jonathan Swift on how to eliminate poverty.  http://art-bin.com/art/omodest.html

  2. Maybe a decade ago the crime rate and murder rate in general went down and kept going down for many years.  They came up with all sorts of reasons but none really seemed to work.  Then the writer of the book freakonomics (analyses various trends and data in unique ways) made a very good proof that the actual reason for the decline was that abortions had been made legal about 15 years earlier.  With legal abortions the mothers who didn't really want children were not having them and these children were responsible (once they rew up 15 or so years later) for disproportionately more crime than other people.  So, not only do I think it, but someone has actually proven it - at least that this has lowered crime.  Buy the book freakonomics if you are interested in this sort of stuff.

  3. Statistically, someone who just got into Yale university would come from a family that could support a child.  Furthermore, one could reasonably attend college and work at the same time.  Lots of people do it.

Most people on welfare who get pregnant, have the baby, that's why they continue to be on welfare.  Abortion probably does very little to reduce applications for welfare, we need welfare reform for that, not more abortion.

  4. As harsh as it seems, yes.

  5. This is exactly why abortion could never become illegal.

  6. i bet south park already faced this issue before, but abortion is killing an unborn child its not that they are unborn its that they are alive its been proven they feel everything at the stage of abortion which some clinics allow up to 7 month olds to be aborted the fluid is like acid burning their bodies and then they a cut into pieces or ripped apart since their bones are still brittle then thrown away, if thats what help for the economy is then the govt should just holocaust the poor, the homeless, the father less, the orphans, and all people with aids or stds to help the economy same concept.. less people dosen't mean more money and having a  certain belief has nothing to do with it different religions have their own reasons even in old times in some societies if you bumped into a woman and she was pregnant and lost her child not only you were killed but people in your family were killed too its more historical than religious and is not realistic just like people thought by putting people with the plague on an island would get rid of it which it didn't it made a stronger strain that eventually got back to them, and for    the people who get pregnant when life is just starting too look up they should know it was their fault and they should take care of responsibility instead of cull it away

  7. If you are a strong believer in abstinence you have a high standard for responsibility. Abortion as a form of birth control and the acceptance of teenagers having s*x contradict your standards of responsibility.

As for the question, this has nothing to do with the economy. Most women with abortions have a family income between $30,000 and $59,999 a year. Capital gains taxes and other policies have an impact on the economy.

I am against abortion for realist reasons. When cells multiply, there is life. This is biological fact. There is no need to trivialize an easy thing.

Women like men have the choice to have s*x or not. Whatever happens should be accepted and the path to being an adult should start, not retreating back to childhood.

  8. Yes, but its bad for Mrs. Lovetts business, where will she get her meat from?

  9. I agree hon, but this is a controversial subject, so dont take it to heart if you get some mean-spirited responses (IF you do)...I miss you when you disappear you know!

  10. Although I'm not a big fan of it, I do believe that abortion is better than bringing a child into the world that you can't take care of on your own. I was raised to look down on people that abused welfare, and other government assistance. Besides show and tell(when the babies are cute and small), government money is the reason these teenagers and young women are keeping these babies. The government should get rid of that c**p.

  11. It's a controversial subject, but there is a theory that falling crime rates in certain areas are due to the availability of abortion - I believe it was New York the article referred to - which makes sense if you think about it - less children born into poverty, less children born to people who don't want to be parents, more parental attention for each child and less members for teenage gangs :-)

  12. The only compelling arguments for abortion I have ever seen were 1)economic and 2) preventing crime

However, its a form of Eugenics when done for those reasons and is therefore morally bankrupt (IE killing off poor people to prevent crime and save money from welfare spending)
