I would agree that some familes and friends argue over silly little things, a majority of those things are to do with pride and big egos more than anything else.

Such a waste really considering the length some of this arguments go on for.

Yes, Yes, Yes.  Especially me and my husband.  We will argue over stupid things. I can say the sky is blue and he will argue it is purple.

yeah its because those are the people that you spend the most time with. its kind of a way of getting to know one another better.

I think a lot of that depends on distance and frequency of spending time together.  If you have family/friends that live far away and you don't see them often, then the time you spend together is very cherished and you don't often find yourselves arguing over stupid and petty issues.  However, when you live with someone or see them very frequently, you tend to (unintentionally) take them for granted, which leades to the petty arguing and fighting over stupid things.

because when you hang around people to long you stop careing how they feel buy when you hardly get to see people you will act alot nicer.

YES THEY DO.MY HUSBANDS FAMILY GET VERY JEALOUS ABOUT ANYTHING LIKE HIS MUM COMING SEE US AND NOT THE SISTER.SHE LIKES TO BE FIRST.

Sometimes yes, It's probably because they spend so much time with each other and never have a break from each other. I guess for me I need to keep on swapping around from group to group. Some days I feel like staying at home with family, and other days I want to hang around my guy friends and somedays I like to have a girls day. Or a mix. Balance it out a little.
