the presidential candidates as much as they're scrutinizing the opening ceremony of the Olympics?

Does it really matter if the fireworks were really, or if some girl was lip synching?

Honestly, if people looked at who they were voting for as much as they looked at the opening ceremony, this country would probably be a better place...

  1. The scrutiny of the presidential candidates is exactly like the scrutiny of the olympics.   People are looking at little meaningless details like the fireworks, lip syncing, certain misspoken words by candidates or what some minor person in the candidate's campaign says.  They aren't looking at the spectacular beauty of the olympic opening ceremony or the candidates records and proposals.  There is plenty of scrutiny.  It is just misplaced.

  2. We are.
