I read your "points", and you're just rattling off c**p from campaign commercials ... don't you think for yourselves, even a little?? Don't you read or research anything for yourself? How can you trust the (non-investigative) media to decide the election for you??

When did we stop paying attention?

its true, i see where you are coming from thats why mccain tries really hard to smear Obama's reputation esp, thru the media which is a very  influential medium in a negative way. the media knows how to play with the readers mind.

Yes, you're totally correct. Then again I enjoy the circus too.

I research, read and investigate for myself quite a lot but it's very true the vast majority of the posts here and certainly in the politics section always follow the headlines while at the same time, you see that when questions about it come up what happens regularly the majority of the posters do realize the mainstream media is not the best source for information and certainly not the best understanding. And yet they let their questions and answers all too often be decided by that same media.

Maybe they simply enjoy the circus too. Seriously I seem to have developed two rails in my head for political thought. One is serious, I look deeper, further try to understand and it determines ultimately what I think or who I support.

The other is light enjoys the sensation driven entertainment soap that passes as debate just like I would enjoy any other sort of fiction or popular culture. Sometimes the two rails meet
