He could suffer the same fate against pacquiao. I have seen him fight barrera and juarez and he barely won those fights. He recently lost to an indonesian boxer. he could last 12 rounds but he will have his face busted.

  1. Maybe- but his brother Rafael is a better fighter, lost to Vazquez after moving up in weight (remember, he beat Vazquez in their 1st fight though). Manuel? Whether or not his brothers loss was an omen, he will suffer the same against Pacquiao. Pac shoulda beat him the first time, knocked Marquez down three times in first round and one of the judgses agreed to a scoring mistake in Marquez' favor.  Anyway, yeah, he will get his face busted this time...

  2. I don't think its a bad omen and I don't think that one brother's loss will have anything to do with another's performance.  Before Manny Pacquiao knocked out Erik Morales the second time, his brother Bobby lost to Hector Velazquez.  I'll give you that Marquez barely beat Barrera but he dominated Juarez and the loss to Chris John was controversial and very close.  That being said, I still favor Pacquiao to win the rematch because he is bigger, stronger, more explosive, and he has improved greatly since their first fight.  Back then he was criticized for only using his right hand to set up his straight left from his southpaw stance, but since then his right hand has developed and I predict him to win a close, but clear decision.
