Not really, But US imperialism is well known, Russia is capitalist now and doing quite well, so the old rhetoric of commies taking over the world won't hold water. But the US wanting to control oil and resources world wide has in  fact been proved. by US policy.

The world is often safer with two world power each offering a counter to the other.

I totally agree with you.Communism is just a russian imperialism world wide.Only the uninformed believe Russia is not imperialist.It's even more than the U.S. and it has lots of world associations and followers from communists as in the USSR times , going thru pseudopacifists , antiwar followers , bolivarians , indigenists , islamofascists ... all of them look at Russia with enthusiasm.
