Don Henry to capture the Coral.Co.UK Standard (Triplicated) at Hove on 8th March
The Coral.Co.UK Standard (Triplicated) is to be held at Hove over 515 metres flat on Thursday, 8th March. The lineup for tonight comprises of Snowdon Flyer, Tyrur Brian, Tenor Max, Rayvin Again, Don Henry and Fatboyz Pacquiao. They will battle across the 515 metres distance in order to get entitled to the £150 prize money.
The hound with a record that indicates victory is Don Henry, Black Shaw’s three-year-old black son out of b***h Rumble Princess. He has been active throughout the new season by racing nine times already and that also predominantly at Hove.
Out of the nine starts that Don Henry made, he could only credit two victories against his name. His seasonal debut had him finishing sixth in a Grade A1 515 metres Flat at Hove on 1st January.
The race was won by the 5/2 favourite of the race, Swift Signal who clocked the track distance in 30.45 seconds. The runner up of the race was Parkwest Leo who was soon joined on the other end of the wire by Droopys Ulick.
After missing five races, Don Henry won a Grade A2 515 metres Flat race at Hove on 15th February by timing the track distance in 30.28 seconds while in lead of 1 ¾ lengths.
Helenas Impact finished the race closest to the winner while Droopys Romy parked third. The 7/4 favourite of the race, Tullna Puma was the last hound to leave the track.
Luck being all on Don Henry’s side, he won his next start too. On 25th February Don Henry won a Grade A1 515 metres Flat race at Hove. The undisputed winner was on the other end of the wire in 30.49 seconds and led the field of six by ¾ of a length.
The runner up of the race was Swift Signal who went through the track in 30.55 seconds and was soon followed by the 6/4 favourite of the race, Tullna Hawk.
On 1st March, Don Henry came second in the Gemini Hire & Sales Stakes at Hove over 515 metres. The winner of the race was Parkwest Leo while finishing third behind the winner was Killahara Joker.
How will his tenth start of the season turn out to be, will become news soon.
