Don river Railway Tasmania:- Why does'nt it still run up and down the coast.?

Why does'nt the Don River Railway still run up and down the coast in Tasmania like it used to, the tracks are still there and are seldom if ever used all the way to burnie? It seems such a shame as it was very popular.

  1. When the state sold all the railway infrastructure many years ago passenger services were scrapped as uneconomical, we only have goods services now with a few small tourist ventures , the West Coast Rail is the best known
