Donated wheelchairs?

What groups donate wheelchairs (within the us) to those who need but can't afford them. I'm in need of a motorized wheelchair due to health problems but can't afford to buy one. Can anyone help?

  1. Call your local united way and see if they could suggest a resource for you.  

    Are the commercials not true that these wheelchairs can be covered by medicare/medicaid?
