Donating sperm - Revealing Father's identity...?

Question

Why on did they abolish the anonymity law for men donating sperm?

So many couples are unable to conceive themselves and need a sperm donation.

I wouldn't want someone looking for me 18 years after I donated!

Don't tell me you donated sperm once and some poor kid has your for their dad. Or if you are thinking or donating don't bother mate because you are a r****d.

You just pull your plonker to Razzle to donate to some poor woman.

Imagine if the kid found out they were conceived that way without a father figure, now that is wrong.

Its an absolutely ridiculous law, and surprise suprise no one much donates anymore, no one saw that one coming...pardon the pun.

I agree with you. If the donor could still remain anonymous then lots of men would become donors, and lots of childless couples could have a longed for child.

Crazy Demon is obviously deranged in some way - men can donate sperm to help people, just as women can donate eggs!

I believe the idea is good but cons out weigh the pros  One sperm donor in VA was responsible for over 50 children.  Imagine these children as young adults in the same college, from different back ground, falling in love and starting a family with their own brother or sister.

Try different clinics.  Some still keep the fathers info confidential unless they agree to have their contact info release when the child is 18.  Fairfax Cryobank is one.
