Question:

Donation of Body?

I am getting to the age where I should start thinking how my remains are treated after I die. Does ANYONE have information on the donation of my body after death? I reside in the north-central area of North Carolina. I have had both an uncle and an aunt do this. They lived in Florida. This was done at no cost to anyone. After the use of the body they were cremated and the ashes returned to the family. ALL at NO COST. Sounds like a plan to me! If anyone has info about this in NC or VA, I would appreciate info as to where I can find out more. - - - Thanks

  1. Try looking under "organ donor."  You will have the option to donate your whole body or just parts.  You can also contact local medical centers and universities that do teaching or research.
