Donation to Barack obama from abroad?

I have been following the american election campaign and the democrats emailed me regular newsletter . Everytime I open the donation page I am asked for the State that I come from trouble is I am based outside of the US. Does that mean I am not allowed to donate to the democrats campaign?

I don't think so, but in fairness would you like me to make a campaign contribution to someone running for office in YOUR country, or would you like elections in your country (if there are elections) to be decided by the citizens of your county only and not by outside influence?

US law does not let non citizens to donate. You could always support by buying product from his website, such as T-Shirts etc.

Foreign donations are illegal unless you are United States citizen or a lawfully-admitted permanent resident,but I dont see anything wrong with using a relative or friend  that does not live out of the country

That's right. You can't donate. Or more technically specific, they are not allowed to accept money from outside the US.

They got caught not verifying donations from overeas and have updated the Obama website.

They weren't verifying people were actually US citizens
