is your high chair changable.? like, can you take the center leg divider out so it is just a chair that sits up high to the table. is it adjustable in height? if so, have you tried all that. if so and he still doesn't want it, go to walmart and get a booster seat.

A booster seat is what you need. I assume your talking about the hanging ones, which don't always work with every table (by the way). Playtex makes a good in seat booster seat that you strap to the chair and is also portable.
