Super-middleweight fighter Donovan George is excited to go head to head with his Friday night opponent Adonis Stevenson. The fight will be for the IBF number one spot and Donovan is sure-footed that he will be the one scoring more marks
“I actually believe it’s going to happen now,” said Donovan at the weigh in. “Leading up to the fight I was just waiting for that phone call telling me something bad had happened. I’m very excited, I’m very well prepared, and we’re coming out here to win.”
George has always been among the top-notch fighters in the division, yet it has taken him long enough to reach the mark. While most analysts believe he could have done all of this a long time back, the super middleweight believes it is all about the right
time.
George spoke about the fight, saying that the shifts between opponents have given him enough time to prepare. According to the super-middleweight, all of it has given him enough time to train more and to be at his best. He further revealed that he took up
the fight on a twenty-day notice but now he is fighting after three months.
When asked about his strategy for Friday night, George revealed, “I got to hit him with my right hand on the chin, knock him down, if he gets up, knock him down again, and then knock him out.”
“I hope early, I don’t want to get hit either, the earlier the better for me.
“Is he really ‘Superman’? Does he really have a great chin? A great punch? Everything is going to come out Friday night,” he added.
For now, George believes that the fight will be a test for Stevenson, who is widely known as ‘Superman’. He asserts he will show the world if Stevenson is actually ‘Superman’ or not. For now, the super-middleweight is excited and ready to lock horns against
Stevenson.
The fight is going to be an epic battle between ‘Da Bomb’ and ‘Superman’. Both fighters are at their prime and so the clash would decide who will capture the number one spot.
