Dont Push It wins the grand national  The Grand National brings tears for the winning Jockey Tony McCoy. It is an amazing achiement, Tony McCoy also known as A. P McCoy has now won 192 wins out of 832 runs and has placed 2nd 137 times. No wonder he is number one Jockey of year 2009-2010.

McCoy pushed Dont Push It all the way to 1st, Black Apalachi was second and State of Play third and the odds of 10 to 1 Dont Push It made some people very happy including Tony McCoy who is 15 go lucky.  Black Apalachi was very strong early on in the race but Don't Push It was always there and looked stronger and stronger as the race progressed.

A monstrous gamble in the minutes before the four-and-a-half-mile marathon in one of the biggest races saw the Jonjo O'Neill-trained Don't Push It become 10-1 joint-favourite with the bookmakers along with Big Fella Thanks.  But Don't Push It pulled clear and it was McCoy who won by five lengths.

Dont Push It shuts out Paul Nicholls with one more duck.  Dont Push It ridden by A. P. McCoy beats the favorite Big Fella Thanks. over 14 million pounds were matched with the betting exchanges.

A tearful McCoy said: "It is everything to win the Grand National. If I don't win the Grand National I'm not a good jockey.

"I'm absolutely delighted. I'm delighted for my mum and dad, my wife Chanelle and [daughter] Eve. She can be proud of me now when she's grown up."

State Of Play went one better than last year to stay on for third, with Big Fella Thanks fourth and Hello Bud ridden by Mr S. Twiston-Davies ran well also and placed fifth.

Comments before the race were "Don't Push It is classy with loads of ability, but unfortunately he never runs two races the same.
"He won at the meeting last year and just has a bit more class than Can't Buy Time. If he shows up on the day, he could run a real good race."

But not today, it was all Dont Push It day and the best horse of the day won.  Most people never gave this horse a chance and the odds with the bookmakers reflected the same.  Mike Willow who was at the Aintree with his friends said "i didn't think he was going to win but i placed couple of pounds on it anyways, and now i'm the star of my group. i wish i had placed lot more money on it".

As with Alberta's Run yesterday, Jono has done well to bring this horse back from the doldrums.  Dont Push It gives McCoy a well deserved first Grand National success.
