Dont Tell Sailor tipped to win the Eric’s Charm Handicap Chase
Dont Tell Sailor is tipped to be victorious in the Eric’s Charm Handicap Chase at Sandown in England on Friday, February 24, 2012. The cash prize for winning the class-three event is £5,848.
14 runners will be seen in action for this race and they are: Dont Tell Sailor, Mid Div And Creep, Marescsou, Moleskin, Without A Doubt, Ballyvesey, Inga Bird, Reblis, Fort View, Court By Surprise, Nozic, Star Beat.
Out of these 14, Dont Tell Sailor has the best chance of winning, as he is in very good shape at the moment. The punters will be interested in investing their money on him, as he has been rated as the favourite by the bookmakers.
The six-year-old gelding has participated in five chase races so far, winning three of them. He also has one second place finish to his name. There was only one occasion, where he failed to make it into the top three.
Jennie Candlish’s trained horse will be partnered by jockey, Alan O'Keeffe, who is yet to make a name for himself. He does not have a very good winning percentage, but still has earned nine chase victories in his career until now.
The closets contender for Dont Tell Sailor will be mare, Mid Div And Creep, trained by Lawney Hill. She does not have the age on her side, being 12 years old. However, she still has a pretty decent record in chase races.
Mid Div And Creep has completed four chase events, winning one of them. She also has one runner up and a third place finish each, which indicates that she is fully capable of fighting for race victories, even at this age.
The old mare will be ridden by Miss G Andrews, who has won nine chase races in her career so far.
Another horse, capable of winning today is, Marescsou. He has participated in 16 of such races so far, but only managed to win on a couple of occasions. His trainer, Venetia Williams, will be hopeful of a strong show at Sandown.
The seven-year-old gelding will be partnered by seasoned jockey, Aidan Coleman, who has earned 110 chase victories until now.
Dont Tell Sailor has a very good chance of winning today, as he seems to be in the best shape at the moment.
