I am one of those people that do not remember what they dreamt about as soon as they wake up. I go 98% of the month not remembering a single dream. But some strange coincidences have been happenong and apparently family members claims it happens to them to. I will have a extremely unvivid (hazed, foggy, brief) dream of something and wake up not to remember it.But a few months or on several occasions a year will pass and something will happen that i had an exact dream of.(Something out of the ordinary because most times its with people or a place I hadnt known or been.My whole childhood has been like this. And recently I have been having the same occurances and but this time I remember them happening in my dream and do something I know I didnt do.Changing the outcome of the dream I previously had of the situation.Soon afterwards i would feel funny like enlightened because my mind wont stop wondering "what if" or "what could have happened".What is going on.What is Deja Vu.Y am i affected?

  1. Déjà vu (IPA: English /deɪʒɑː vuː/, French /deʒa vy/) (French for "already seen", also called paramnesia from the Greek word para (παρα) for parallel and mnēmē (μνήμη) for memory) is the experience of feeling that one has witnessed or experienced a new situation previously. The term was coined by a French psychic researcher, Émile Boirac (1851–1917) in his book L'Avenir des sciences psychiques (The Future of Psychic Sciences), which expanded upon an essay he wrote while an undergraduate. The experience of déjà vu is usually accompanied by a compelling sense of familiarity, and also a sense of "eeriness", "strangeness", or "weirdness". The "previous" experience is most frequently attributed to a dream, although in some cases there is a firm sense that the experience "genuinely happened" in the past. Déjà vu has been described as "remembering the future." See spirit explanation below.

The experience of déjà vu seems to be very common; in formal studies 70% of people report having experienced it at least once. References to the experience of déjà vu are also found in literature of the past, indicating it is not a new phenomenon. It has been extremely difficult to invoke the déjà vu experience in laboratory settings, therefore making it a subject of few empirical studies. Recently, researchers have found ways to recreate this sensation using hypnosis.

  2. I personally do not have an explaination for this occurance however Sylvia Browne says that since we write out our lifes chart, detail for detaill before we come here to this plane, we  have seen our lives "flash" before us beforehand. Once in awhile you get a reminder note, just verifying that you are on the right path or you are wandering a bit, get back on that course, remember?

  3. I don't usually believe in things out of the ordinary but this has happened to me multiple times too in some very random instances.

One time in particular, I had dreamed I was sitting on a couch watching tv in a house I had never seen before. I didn't really think about it at the time but about 2 months later I started to babysit for a family that I knew. The first day, I was sitting on the couch watching tv while the baby was sleeping and I had an overwhelming feeling that I had been there before and the dream came back to me. Everything was the same including some very unique African art work (she was from South Africa). It was very strange. I don't think you have anything to worry or stress about, its just something that happens every once and a while.

  4. it is a feeling or a memory of having been in that exact same place or situation under the same circumstances... i believe in reincarnation so, deja vu is real to me.... i don't have it often but i wonder if when i weigh out the pros and cons in a situation why i see the negative outcome so vividly?? guess i made some pretty bad choices in my last life... :-)

  5. Dejavu is a glitch in the human brain whereby we are "remembering" something just as it happens.

  6. I read about deja vu's in a science magazine where they explained it. I can't fully remember the answer but it had something to do with as realizing what we see before we actually see it. Usually we see what is happening and then our brain realizes what it really is. In deja vu it happens other way around. So your brains realizes what is happening and then you see it. So when you see it, your brain thinks it is the second time, when it really is the first one, delayed.

I can't remember why this happens time to time.

  7. I have experienced going places where I have never been before and yet knowing exactly where turns are, houses are landmarks.  It does happen to a lot of people.
