  1. Torque is nearly always highest at lower RPM. Torque is good for get go (taking of, acceleration at low speeds). The higher torque is the more pull it has. Example is diesel engines high torque more pull. In simple it helps take off. Horsepower is usually highest at near top RPM. This helps you keep going and get to and hold the higher speeds.

  2. I can explain this if I'm allowed , as my father explained it to me.

when you wake in the morning before you go pee you have that morning erection you stand in front of the toilet and push down on your erection your feet fly out from underneath you. THATS TORQUE

and RPM is revolutions per minute that the engine makes

more torque at less rpm is best more power to the pavement.

    hope this helped

  3. this really depends on the type of engine you have, the type of racing you want to do and how the power train is set up. Common set up and conventional wisdom is to have your HP on the low end and the Torque on the high end. so 225 are 4000 is ok.

  4. In drag racing its better on just gunning it to have it at 2000rpm in circle track I would want it at 4000rpm because you will be gunning it on straights and have to shift down through turns as you slow anyway keeping the rpms always higher because if it was lower the rpms would always be screaming.

Torque is the same at 2000rpm as 4000rpm its just where you can use it. This is why trucks have torque down low and sports cars up high.

Your just talking about where its torque peaks the amount deliverd per rpm can very depending on engine.

Torque x RPM devided by 5252 = Horsepower

  5. the lower it comes hits the better your off anyway. you want that torque as soon as possible to get the car moving

  6. when you are racing, you want a low end torque, this will get you off the line and in motion faster than those that do not have the same specs. ill give you an example of low end torque. a Pontaic 400 with 375 horses and 455 ft lbs at roughly 3500 rpms, the car will spin both tires from  rolling start and leave marks for 50 ft.

  7. It would be @ 2000rpm because this means the engine speed (rpm) at which you get that amount of torque or horsepower it is very important to look at and its often overlooked as people look at total horsepower which basically means nothing. For example, theorically, a car with 300 hp @2000rpm would beat a 500hp @ 8000rpm car as this car could in theory start with 50hp all the way to 7500rpm then has a huge peak at 8000rpm but the first car would start with maybe 250 hp and at 2000rpm it would get its top power.
