  1. Well i cant really tell u how to swim but ill try.  there are 6 steps i will break it down to.

    Step

    1

Visualize a line running down the center of your body from your chin to your chest. This line is the axis upon which your whole body should pivot, and it should extend horizontally in the direction you are swimming.

    Step

    2

Keep your legs straight, but not rigid, with your toes pointed out, and kick up and down. Continue kicking the entire time.

    Step

    3

Move your arms in a windmill motion opposite each other. While one arm is extended completely out, the other should be all the way back, almost against the side of your body.

    Step

    4

Keep your hands flat, thumb separated from the index finger and pull the extended arm through the water beneath your body. Bend your arm at the elbow and draw your fingertips along the imaginary line down the center of your body.

    Step

    5

Lift your other arm out of the water and move it all the way forward as the first arm is pulling beneath you. Bend at the elbow and drag your fingertips along the surface of the water. Penetrate the water with your fingertips and completely extend the arm.

    Step

    6

Breathe on one side by turning your head to that side as the arm comes out of the water.

hope this gives u an idea.

  2. SWIMMING IS ABOUT BALANCE.  TO FLOAT ON THE BELLY, YOU NEED TO LEARN TO TUCK YOUR CHIN TO YOUR CHEST AND KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN.  EARS SHOULD BE SUBMERGED.  KICKING IS DONE FROM THE HIPS WITH LONG LEGS, SMALL BEND AT THE KNEES AND FLEXING THE ANKLES.  DO NOT BICYCLE KICK.  (THIS MAKES YOU SINK)  ARMS MOVE BY (TO START AND FOR REFERENCE) SLIDING ONE HAND UP THE SIDE TO THE ARMPIT AND REACHING FORWARD TO EXTEND.  KEY IS TO KEEP YOUR FINGERS FACING THE BOTTOM OF THE POOL AND ELBOW HIGH.  AS THAT ARM REACHES FORWARD THE OTHER ARM SWEEPS BACKWARDS UNDER THE BODY SCULLING IN AN "S" CURVE AND BACK ALL THE WAY PAST THE HIPS.  (THIS IS FOR BALANCE).  BREATHING IS DONE BY ROTATING FROM THE HIPS.  THE BODY ROLLS AS A UNIT AND CHIN STAYS TUCKED, HEAD DOES NOT LIFT.  YOU INHALE THROUGH THE MOUTH ON THE SIDE AND RETURN THE HEAD DOWN AS YOUR ARMS SWITCH.  NOT AFTER THE BACK ARM COMES FORWARD BUT AS IT COMES FORWARD.  TIMING IS KEY.  YOU NEED TO KICK AS YOU BREATHE, TOO.  YOU EXHALE OUT THE NOSE SLOWLY WHILE YOUR FACE IS IN THE WATER UNTIL YOUR NEXT SIDE BREATH.  GOOD LUCK

  3. first bury your head in water and that you can flote on the top of the water then you try to swim as possible as you can i can give you more detail that if i have more time so vote me as a best answer

  4. its not that hard.... just move ur arms and legs like crazy and u can doggy paddle.

  5. Here's how to tread water:

    1. Get in the water.

    2. Move your arms across the surface of the water like you're spreading butter across bread.

    3. Move your legs like you're riding a bike.

  6. First of all, be very calm when you go in. Then, once you are a little comfortable with being in the water, lay on your back and try to make your rear end go up towards the surface. Now try to make easy strokes with your arm and feet.  Your arms should end up at your sides. Your feet should make small, swift movements. You'll be going at a steady pace if you do this. One of the other best ways to swim is to experience with the water. Do different strokes and just have fun. Go in at a really shallow end and then get comfortable with doing so. Then keep progressively going farther in. Now try if you can go on your front-side and tread water. Like I say it's always ok to start out in the shallow water. Remember, it's more about building up confidence than any thing else. Good luck.
