I know it doesnt mean much, but hey for Detroit fans, its something to cheer about. Winning doesnt come easy for our football team. So Lions fans, or any football fans for that matter, how do you think the Lions will fare this year? They were 7-9 last year, and what I have noticed in the preseason are three key points: Kitna isnt making many mistakes and leading good drives, the Lions are committed to the run as promised now making them a balanced team, and the defense looks like the best they have had in years. Maybe a wild card spot this year?

  1. you are actually getting excited because the lions have won every pre season game? They mean so much right ? New England has won like 1 pre season game in 3 years...they must be horrible then right?

Look, if you want to drink the kool aid then you are the reason this team isn't getting any better. You are the kind of people the Lions love. Naive and willing to believe anything. The talent level is only slightly better, the offensive line is...well, offensive. if you actually think they will get a wild card spot you tell me who over?? The Giants..The Saints...Seahawks...Cowboys...Eagles...W...

What other NFL team would allow a GM to still be around after having a record of 31-81??? Please.....

Seriously think before you post again.....you are embarrassing yourself

  2. the detroit lions were good last year too but that last half of the year kills them. But they have improved and i see them finishing at 9-7. they have the talent its just they got to learn to finish out the ball game and the season

  3. Best- 7-9

    Worst 4-12

  4. I can defiantly see them in the playoffs! I have them doing better than the Pack this year!

  5. I don't look at won/loss record in preseason but to look at players trying to make the team & if I recall the Lions of last year started 6-2 & look how they ended the season at 7-9.  I wish them good luck this season though as I do all teams except the Cowboys & Patriots

  6. NFC North

    Vikings

    Lions

    Packers

    Bears

    in that order.

  7. Maybe.  I'm a Denver fan, so i know what its like going through with a BAD decision making QB (plummer) but maybe kitna can improve.  plummer did for 1 season til the afc championship game.  i almost cried at his and foxworth's performance lol.  But Calvin Johnson is the most athletic receiver i've ever seen, even more than my favorite (underrated) player (brandon Marshall).  At 6-4 230, Johnson is a freak of nature.  expect him to go OFF this season.  96 catches, 1346 yards, and 12 TD's are my prediction.  The d looks good (expecially bodden and sims) but the loss of rodgers is just awful for that front line.  i expect 8-8 MAYBE 9-7 if they play smart.  At RB, Smith looks good, but they seriously need to give calhoun a chance.  he is so underrated!!!!!! i beleive he could b there future at rb with Kevin Smith as a two headed monster for the next 5-7 years.  i still say they should call up the browns and offer them next years 1st round pick for Quinn, since kitna is not the answer, and no great qb's are commin out nxt year.  imagine a future in detroit where the offence is ballanced with a core of

    QB-Quinn

HB-Calhoun/Smith (split carries like minnesota and tha jags do)

WR-Calvin Johnson, Row Williams(if he does not demand a trade, which i see him doing wih the emergence of Johnson) Mcdonald, and furry.  that is a great core of players, they just need there o-line and defence to hold up.

  8. Yes I think they may make the playoffs. Don't forget the Packers don't have Favre anymore and Rodgers sucks.
