  1. Yes, plants "breathe" carbon dioxide and emit oxygen.  That's why trees love cars and trucks.  The liberal dems, such as Obama, want to impose a carbon tax because they think it impacts global warming.  That tax will drive up the price of fuel and food.  They haven't thought about clean oil drilling, clean nuclear fuel, clean coal mining and clean electrical generating plants for thirty years.  You can blame our two worst presidents for that --  Carter and Clinton.

  2. hahaha youve got 2 b shitting me! i cant help but breathe. mayb if the d**n government would stop cutting down trees and work a little harder on making alternate sources of energy rather than stay in the middle east dying b/c we want the oil from over there.

lets say im poor and living in my car w/ no money. now i cant pay 4 the co2. would i be sent to jail??? how constitutional is that??

  3. To say that plants breathe isn't completely accurate. But if you want to use that analogy, here: Plants INHALE carbon dioxide, therefore removing it from the air. They Exhale oxygen, so we can breathe. In reality, they are not inhaling and exhaling oxygen and CO2, they are going through a process called photosynthesis. In photosynthesis, plants take in carbon dioxide and water, and, with the help of energy from the sun, produce glucose and water. The overall chemical reaction is:

    6CO2 + 6H2O (+ light energy) --> C6H12O6 + 6O2

The CO2 that plants need for photosynthesis comes from us. We exhale carbon dioxide. There is no need for excess carbon dioxide in the air, so it's not true that "trees love cars and trucks", as one answerer put it. That's just ridiculous. The excess carbon is bad because it depletes the ozone layer and contributes to global warming.

    Hope this helps!

  4. Tax CO2 that come from the exhaust of power plants and such places where plants don't live close to. They won't tax humans for exhaling CO2, nor the Co2 in the air. No one owns the air.

There's really no downside. The major CO2 producers will find ways to expel less. Plants will still live, because we humans and animals still give out CO2. I doubt cars will be taxed, but it's possible.

  5. LOMFL!!!!! HAHA!!!! funny you mention that... China just had a terrible incindent a few months ago where they had ungodly amounts of algae wash up into the area where the "somewhat/popular olympic sailing event" was supposed to start.

Not to mention, me and a few of my friends and my friends mom have been gettin into a recent arguement about whether or not we actuallly landed on the moon.....???

From  my experience and education, with the two events combined....algae produces more of the oxygen in our planet than trees will ever produce...

and the moon which has nothing.... anywhere.... has no oxygen what-so-ever.... basic principles of low gravity, space probes, conservation of space, time, matter, energy, earthly science, etc...........can allow an aluminum foil spacecraft that looks like it was built on sesame street... to land on another planet with enought thrust to stop it from cratering into the surface (just like the atari game)...and then take off again, and reconnect with an orbit spacecraft with absolute minimal supplies....  When in reality, on our planet... flame can't exist without oxygen.....hence the ability to cut through more than an inch of steel with oxy-acetylene.... but it requires a vehicle larger than a football field to launch anything into space.

The world is ****** if they are going to tax something like CO2, which people fill paintball guns and bb guns with.....that we breathe out at..at least 14.7 psi... of 2000....

SUV's aren't the problem like somebody's dad's Camero or Charger with a giant god-d**n Supercharger... burning the volume of the size of your pool in the backyard in one minute... but just for 7-10 seconds at a time... for just a 1/4 mile.

It's all propaganda for Bush... Just seen gas for $3.95 a galllon, but I still have to buy premium for my car, and you better ****** believe I'm excited about getting my license back and paying less than $4.50 a gallon.

Food for thought that you'll never seen again....

If anything... marijuana needs to be legalized to create oxygen in a rediculous rate of photo-sythesis...and of which can be taxed far greater than the realms of taxing crude oil.....

I own a 420+HP Buick Rivera that requires at least premium fuel.... I design residential and commercial buildings as "Side Jobs".

The real truth if you've made it this far.... The rotation of the earth, galaxy, and universe is comin to and end... Bible style..... But in reality terms... the gravity that keeps us in perfect balance will come back to destroy us in the end once we cross the "equator/axis" of the galaxy that we are in...

  6. they take it in. they dont breath it out if thats what you mean by they breath. they release oxygen

  7. In New Zea-land the government was talking about taxing at 5$ a head live stock sheep, deer, cattle because they are a major source of methane which is a green house gas.

This proposal and the tax on CO2 clearly demonstrate that governments do not have a clue how to solve the problem and are completely stupid.

  8. Global warming is a big scam. Check out infowars.com. Also look up The 911 chronicals truth rising on youtube. If your really into something amazing, check out China earthquake and HAARP Program, we are all being led by a pack of wolves in sheeps clothing. Theres Sodium Fluoride in our water, and they spray chemicals in the air.

  9. Not all the time.

At night plants actually take in oxygen and give off CO2. That's because they are breaking down that sugar to get energy for growth and combining other elements, minerals, and chemicals for making flowers, fruit, seeds etc.

They are doing the same thing in daylight too, but photosynthesis is so efficient that the plant uses up the carbon dioxide as it makes more sugar than it actually needs so there is an excess of oxygen, which is released.

  10. or we can all stop breathing..since we breathe out carbon dioxide...and that way no one would have to pay for anything..

    we'd be dead!
