For industrial piercings it's best to not touch it unless you're cleaning it. When you turn an industrial, simply because it's on a bar all the gunk and discharge that your new piercing gives out can be put back into your open wound if you turn your bar around, and that's what typically causes infections. Use some diluted saline solution or sea salt and water, with a q-tip and clean around it 1-2 times a day everyday, and you'll be just fine. I know that that's completely against what you would think, but the difference between a regular cartilige piercing and an industrial is the hollow needle and the giant chunk of ear that's gone, sorry that's graphic.
It's going to be just fine sweetie, just don't sleep on it :)
