Dont u think men gossip more than women?

i.e backbiting....no offence guys sorry ...and hey if u are a guy do u enjoy listening to it...(when girls gossip)?

Yes we do. But people notice it less cause they're so used to the stereotype that girls gossip most.

But seriously is there anything wrong with a bit of gossip?? It's only natural to talk about others. No big deal.

Ive known men who have told some of my families secrets to others and it really hurt by the way, the female friends of my family would never have done that. Telling peoples secrets is different from a bit of harmless gossip though.

Truthfully, some men do gossip.  But woman are just much better at it because they 'feel' things on a more personal level, and their gossip is much interesting to the listener because women pay attention to details more than men do.  Men will gossip if the oppurtunity presents itself, but more often than not, its just for entertainment.  With women it appears to be more of a weapon used to construct or destruct the social heirarchy that they dwell in.  As mentioned men will gossip either when its something that they think other guys will laugh at or something that can benefit them if they tell others.  With women I think its just generally interesting...because the pay attention to details more, hence they usually have more information to disclose, hence, women usually 'talk' and 'gossip' more frequently.  Gotta love em'.

OMG my boyfriend does. i tell him this all the time. he knows everyone's business around his area, and he has the female lodger living with him who is a bit of a player and he wont keep his nose out. i have to tell him to shut up because its her life

oh and my ex-housemate loved a good gossip too and he was a guy
