  2. Probably because Dhoni is a strong character, who evokes strong feelings in others. People either love him or hate him. So anything to do with him is bound to become a public debate.

    But personally, I am glad he has taken a break. He has set a path for the Indians, who are always insecure about their place in the team. I just  read that he is among the few who have played 2 years of continuous cricket. Even the seniors have been spared due to their axing from 20-20s and ODIs. Good for him.

  9. No, i dont see the problem with resting Dhoni. Since the CB series, he has been playing cricket non-stop in the Indian side and resting him will be better for Indian cricket. This may mean that Dinesh Karthick gets another chance in the Indian test team. Anyway, Dhoni isn't that good in tests. If Dhoni wants to rest and take some time off cricket, then he is in rights to do that

  10. Yes its an issue made more by the news channels! They do not understand he is a human being, like others even he needs a break from the busy schedule of matches.
