Debit cards are really like electronic checks....but they are deducted pretty quickly from your account. Debit cards will not allow you to withdrawal more than what is in that account at the time of the transaction so there is nothing that can affect your credit score. (Credit cards are a way for you to borrow money to be paid back to the lender at a later day, debit card is a way of directly debiting from your savings/checking account)l.
