Dont wanna erase n sync,jus want to add new songs! pls help me with my itune glitch.. cant live without music!

Question

so heres the thing, I downloaded itunes and put all my songs and videos in it then suddenly my computer gets virus so I had to refresh it hence delete all files including itunes. The second time I load itunes and want to sync some songs into my ipod, it asks me to erase the old one to sync the news one...but i don want to!

I want the old songs to stay and also wan o add new ones

so please help me with this!! Id appreciate it ALOT :]

i just resolved this problem last night for myself! (:

okay, when you plug in your ipod, there's a box that asks if you wanna sync songs and stuff, click no.

then click on your ipod tab that's in itunes.

(the thing with your ipod information. how much space is used, and all of that.)

then where the boxes are checked, click "manage songs" or whatever that thing says. i forget. but you know what i mean, hopefully.

then you should be able to put the new songs on your ipod!
