I'm 5,7 and weigh 113 pounds. This summer, well over the past month or two really I've gained 11 pounds!!! I'm getting over a slight ed and am just getting very very worried I won't be able to stop gaining! Please help! I know I'm not fat fat but I have filled out a lot and would just prefer not to gain anymore. I keep binging, I can't stop eating until I'm sick full of food. :S I'm still obsessed with food and just want to know some tips on how to stop being so obsessed.

Please help, I'm very close to panicking and start up a proper diet like I used to.

  1. im in recovery for ed and im trying to lose weight but i do it the healthy way now and i have been losing weight whilst eating healthily

    try running

doing 1hr of excercise 3 times a week min!!!

also get someone to do your portion of food because when you do it your eyes get to big for your belly and then finish what they give you bu do not i repeat DO NOT go for seconds and if you want to sncak the  crunch on an apple its only 49kcals

    xoxo

    stay strong

  2. calm down!

    you willl be fine!

just take a deep breath and think how much you want this

now there is no secret to not being obssesed with food

you just need the will power to only eat when your hungry and stop when your full.

you are by no means anywhere near being fat!

the ideal weight for a hieght of 5'7 is122-149

so you may want to consider leaving those 11 pounds onhope i helped

  3. Stay active; get involved in activities that require physical participation (dancing, gymnastics, rowing, tennis, track, etc.).  Keep busy; get involved more with those around you.  Do volunteer work.  Do anything that will keep you focused outside yourself.

Don't do any kind of job that keeps you around food.

Do NOT get involved in dieting.  Just limit yourself to regular meals and healthy snacks at set intervals - and with set limits as to the amount you will eat.  This may mean keeping only things like celery and carrots around to nibble on for awhile.

You are still underweight for your height, regardless of your build (small-boned, average, large-boned).  Just see that there's nothing to eat in your house except foods that are low in calories and are good for you.  Eliminate simple carbs (soft drinks, candy) and focus on complex carbs (fruits and veggies; preferably the brightly colored ones) and protein.

If you're still having problems, ask your doctor for a referral to a nutritionist or to place you in a program that treats eating disorders.  You don't want to trade one disorder for another.
