Dont you think its unfair that a 20 year old cant gamble?

i love poker id love to goto a casino and play some hold em but i cant cuz i just turned 20 i have to wait a whole year! its unbelievible that im old enough to join the army and defend the country but not old enough to gamble???

In New York, the gambling age is 18. You should consider taking a spring break or weekend trip to New York for some fun.

Who says a 20 year old can't gamble. I've been doing it since I was 12. Just start a home game or something. Get some of your buddies together in your apartment every Wednesday or whatever. I'm not positive, but I think here in Oklahoma, some casinos let people in at 18. I think some don't serve drinks, btu what fun is that.

Unless you are super good at math, you will loose your money at the casinos fast. So no it is not really unfair.

If you like Texas Hold em then you may be able to find a charity event in your area.  Many charity events run Texas Hold em Tournaments and cash games.  You may not get quite as much as a real casino, but the prize pool is still somewhat fair to make it worth the time.  You gotta take what you can get sometimes.

As for "fair", well, maybe, maybe not, just wait another year.  The casinos aren't going anywhere.

good news buddy.

there's numerous online gambling sites for 18+ like bodoglife etc.

Here's what you do.

get a visa gift card and use that to register since us legislation outlaws online gambling.

use that to register for bodog and have fun. I don't trust their online blackjack etc so I just play texas hold 'em no limit.

oh and i'm 19
