  1. yes they should

i was abused when i was young, it happened for 3-4 years almost daily, my dad was an alcoholic, my mom was a weak woman

no one cared, no one helped us

but it made me more mature, and i am thankful it happened

  2. If the beatings are largely unprovoked and severe enough to leave injuries and make the child greatly afraid of the parent, yes that is abuse and should be treated as such.  Children are not property.

  3. There is a major difference between beating a child and disciplining a child. I think that a swat on the butt everynow and then is not abuse. There are times when I hate to go in public because of the way children behave. If I was these childrens parents I would be inbarassed. It's rediculous the way children talk to their parents and their elders. It is appalling the disrespect that parents get from their children. My parents whipped me when I needed it and I didn't turn out so bad. As a matter of fact, I'm 28 years old and I would never talk to my parents the way some kids do. There is however, like I said, a difference. If I saw someone whipping their child too hard then I'd probably do something. And if a kid drops something accidently or spills something, then no they shouldn't be whipped for that. What's that supposed to teach, don't be clumsy? Thats something that they can't help sometimes. Stuff happens. Example- My husband spilled his drink accidently in his dads plate and he got beat for that. He was only like 7 or 8 and he still talks about it because it bothered him so much. It's sad.

  4. this is a question that have many grey areas and you can't say whether the parent is guilty or not. If the parents is only disciplining their chat by giving a slap on the hand, would that consider beating a child and regarded as an abuse case where they will be charged. We have to look at the different scenario and picture as a whole.

  5. if its beating them then yea

if its spanking as a fair punishment than no

i dont think spanking is abuse

punching ur child, kicking ur child, giving them injuries etc is abuse

  6. Well seeing as it is abuse I see no reason why they SHOULDN'T be.

  7. no
