  1. No. Hormones are essential to homeostasis. Why would you want to be rid of the very necessary and important regulators of our bodily functions. Perhaps it would be valuable to you to take a class in biology, or physiology.  That will give you a better understanding how our bodies function.

  2. Not slaves, but they do have some power over us. Eg: you're feeling temperamental, you have the urge to scream at your partner, but you resist it. It lowered your resistance, but you still had a say.

  3. The word 'WE' means including all systems in our body, you can't separate hormones, I think medical science can overcome certain hormone problems  ..

  4. yes and no

  5. yes. it doesn't help to make out as though we're rational beings, when thinking (prized as making us different from animals that supposedly don't 'think') is influenced by hormones.

  6. I think we are slaves to our homones, they drive us to do eveything! I don't think we can get over it cos it's part of who we are... it's what makes us us and makes us individuals aswell. I reckon we have just got to live with it, if it wasn't meant to happen this way it wouldn't have happened!

  7. Only if you have a lack of function in the prefrontal-cortex. Hormones can powerfully effect our moods, but as humans we have the ability to use logic ( most of us). I assume that when you refer to hormones, you mean s*x hormones like estrogen and testosterone. The only way to "get over it", would be either the removal of the gonads or "chemical castration". I prefer to keep my boys, thank you very much.

  8. your mind can control anything that comes into your direction, whether it be a fight, personal problems, thoughts, urges, or even hormones.

peace in  the mind is THE way to take control of every craving, or urge you might have.

  9. only if you want to be.....get over your self

  10. No matter what your hormones control you but you have the mind power to control them in normal situations.

  11. Oh yes they have us all ends up!!! Being a bloke I am largely testosterone led but along with all the other hormones in my body they are what make me the man I am and I wouldn't want to change that for anything. Without testosterone I couldn't play rugby, be able to jump and spike a volleyball, have the competitive edge to do my job, drive a car fast....everything I love!! Take all those hormones away and i'd spend my day on the phone to my 'friends', worrying if so and so fancies me, drinking wine instead of beer and looking around the clothes shops for new shoes. I'd be a girl !!!

  12. Indeed,

To stop this you need to inject/take more hormones lol..  Thus still at the slave of our hormones, just a different set.

  13. We pretty much are. As sophisticated as we think we are were still just Animals and when it comes down to it we all crave food shelter and a mate. I don't think theres  way to get over it it's just what we are and all we can do is accept in. Just take a look at what happens any time theres a disaster somewhere in the world, everybody just goes nuts and returns to their base instincts.

  14. Yes, surrender yourself to God, and your hormones will become your slave.

  15. NO, girls are the slaves of their own bodies.  They must feel that they are superior to other girls.  But for  no reason, boys and girls will always be there, you will get a mate when your time comes.

  16. h**l yes. I remember the first few years of my adolsense. I thought i was going crazy. I was a freaky person. I guess you get over it when you grow older. Hormones will calm. REMEMBEr we are the slaves! hahahaha

just keep ur mind on something else. If you have a strong will power yu can

  17. We are actually not slaves of hormone, but  our mind.  Hormones activate our brain cells to respond to different activities and moods.  If hormone level  in our body  decrease to a certain extent we are helpless.

  18. Yes, it's called will power.
