Yes.  Because those scientists generally emit more c02 then the average american.  Its time someone stopped being a hypocrit.

It's human nature to have faith.  Everyone has faith in something.

I would prefer that people stopped inferring that their faith based beliefs or their intuitive feelings are derived using scientific methods.

If I understand your question correctly, I do not see any irony in them practicing this faith at all!

After all, that is exactly what it is, a 'faith'.

Faith does not require anything other than one's own belief that something is true.

I do have a slight problem with you giving them the credit of being 'Scientists' however.

Scientists rely on known facts, and may form hypothesis for further scrutiny based on existing information. This is what science is all about.

If a hypothesis is deemed to be worth further investigation, and is unable to be disproved by science then it may be elevated to a theory.

Further research and tests are then carried out in order to try to either prove or disprove the theory.

If experiments show a flaw in the theory it will either be discarded, or the theory gets revised to explain the discrepancy.

If a theory passes all scrutiny time after time it may eventually become a law of science.

These people wish to bypass any scientific scrutiny whatsoever and jump straight from hypothesis to law.

To actually  call them 'scientists' is giving them far more credit than they deserve!(My opinion).

Actually, all of the data I have seen indicates that most scientists are not religious agnostics.  Do you even know what agnostic means?
