My dad just bought a wireless doorbell which worked perfectly. Then the other day my brother had installed a security system on his car and whenever he opens and closes the car, the signal inteferes with the door bell and plays a different tune everytime.

Now the doorbell doesn't work!

Is there a way to fix it, what should i do???

  1. There's usually a switch inside the doorbell and receiver to change the frequency (just in case the house next door also has the same one!). You might have some luck in changing that. Also, if the battery in the bell is a bit old, the signal may be too low compared with the 'noise' from other things.

  2. buy a new doorbell or a knocker

  3. change the frequency.

  4. You have to re program it.  Get the manual and find how you do that. You probably have to put in a code.

  5. Seems like the two wire are on the same frequency. Check the owners manual for both the adjust one or the other.

Also check the battery in wireless doorbell.
