Door switch is bad on my Whirlpool microwave

How do I go about fixing a bad door switch? From what I've read on this website, it appears as though thagt is my problem. I have a Whirlpool MH1140Xm above the range model and would hate to have to buy a new one if this is something that can be easily fixed on my own or by someone else. Thanks!
