  1. you mean like a make up artist that goes to peoples houses?

do you mean selling make up or doing thier make before they go out?

  2. She should be a certified make up artist. Her best bet would be to work in a salon and build up a clientele first. She needs to have a resume of the work she had done.

I doubt anyone would hire her without being connected to a known salon or make up company like MaryKay or Arbonne.

  3. make sure she has a portfolio set up professionally, or at least looking like it is. make sure to make prices decent too!

    do my friends?

  4. I don't know if she wants to go door to door but she wants to be a freelance makeup artist and do peoples makeups for events, and weddings.  She will want to have a portfolio of her work to show to potential clients.  Also a comp card of her work that she can mail out to potential clients but also photographers, bridal boutiques, high schools, hair salons, anywhere she can get clients.  Also she should have a brochures of her services that she can leave at shops, makeup studios, etc, etc.  She may also want to get her license and work out of a hair salon or makeup studio.  She may also want to sell products like Mary Kay, while she is meeting with a client.  She will definitely need a makeup kit with eye shadows, different color foundations, lipsticks, blushes, fake eyelashes.  It hard work and you have to hit the pavement.  With hard work persistence she can make a good living and it fun rewarding work, she can set up her own schedule.

  5. Hi, I am an Independent Mary Kay Consultant. I have been in the business for almost a year and LOVE IT. It is not exactly what you described above but it consists in helping people take care of their skin and learn how to apply make up and color.  I do girls make up for birthday parties, weddings, photo shoots, you name it. The beauty of it is that you make a ton of money while having fun. If you like send me and email with your girlfriends contact information and I'd be happy to chat with her and give her some advice, or even help her set up her service.

my email is erisa@marykay.com or you can go to my website www.marykay.com/erisa

    Best Regards.
