Zenit’s Luka Dordevic remains optimistic about his fitness ahead of much anticipated league tie and has urged his side to win against Anzhi without key players
Zenit St. Petersburg will play the upcoming Russian Premier League tie against the mega rich Dagestani club at Arena Khimki on Sunday on the back of a 5-0 thrashing of Spartak Moscow at Petrovsky stadium last week.
Luka Dordevic remains one of the few signings the St. Petersburg club has made during the ongoing summer transfer window. The Montenegrin striker signed a two-year contract after joining Zenit from Mogren last month.
The Yugoslavia born player has assured the fans of winning the crunch league tie despite the absence of several key players due to respective injuries. Dordevic expressed his desire to play his part in the upcoming match, insisting
that he wants to help the Russian outfit.
Though Dordevic made a cameo appearance for the Russian outfit after coming on as a second-half substitute in Zenit’s emphatic win over the Moscow-based club, it is still unsure that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luciano-c22574 Spalletti, who labelled the 18-year-old
as a future investment, will give the promising youngster a starting role right away.
“Of course I'm ready to play against Anzhi but the coach will decide who will enter the field. It would be great if he decided to play me. The most important thing for us is to win this game, knowing that it will be a very difficult
match. But I want to tell the fans that we are ready for it.”
“We were missing a couple of players due to injuries, but I repeat we need to win the match despite their absence.” The Montenegrin footballer was quoted as saying.
