Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp overjoyed with Bayern Munich win- Bundesliga news
Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is overjoyed with the recent 1-0 win against Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. The tactician stated that his side was determined and showed the character to achieve a great result and have
proved to the critics that they are genuine contenders for the title at the end of the season.
Die Borussen downed Jupp Heynckes’ side 1-0 at the Allianz Arena courtesy a Mario Gotze goal in the second-half. The German champions are now only two points behind Bayern Munich in second place with 26 points from the 13 games
played so far. They have now won eight times in the league this season and suffered three losses.
Klopp claimed that his side had the fewer attempts on goal but were able to capitalize on the attempts and get a goal after the interval. He hailed the team’s patience and determination and totally deserved to win the game.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FSV-Mainz-05-c38166 manager expressed his delight on proving the doubters wrong with the sensational performance and admitted that it could be another successful year in the league this term.
“We had surprisingly few attempts at goal, but from the few chances that we had, we have made one count. We were patient and disciplined throughout, but this does not mean we scored an undeserved winner,” he was quoted as saying
in an interview.
However, the tactician insisted that his side did not play at the level they usually play and are capable of but it was an impressive performance anyways. He praised the players for being in total control of the match and putting
in a bravura display.
“To then score at the decisive moment does need a bit of luck. We did not play the football that we really imagine playing, but we were pretty much in control of Bayern and that is why we have won,” he concluded.
Borussia Dortmund will face another tough test next week when they play in-form Schalke at the Signal Iduna Park. Die Knappen are only a point behind the Borussians in fourth place with eight wins and will be looking to leapfrog
the champions.
