Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has stated that he expects a positive response from his side in this weekend’s game against FC Augsburg in the Bundesliga. The Borussians have had a poor start to this season as they defend
the league title. Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen have been far ahead than Jurgen Klopp’s men in this campaign as they occupy the second spot.
Dortmund face FC Augsburg at Signal Iduna Park to revive their campaign and are searching for their fourth win of the season. The champions have already lost three games this term and have been relatively poor with their displays.
Die Borussen currently sit in eighth place on the Bundesliga standings table with 10 points with three wins and three defeats. The club is a staggering eight points behind leaders Bayern Munich and it looks highly unlikely that
they will defend the title.
Klopp claimed that the team has to prove that it is capable of challenging for trophies and the match against FC Augsburg is the perfect platform for them. He admitted that the team has performed well but the results have not gone
their way recently.
“We don't have a problem with form. We have been dominant in our last four matches, but we have only got four points for it. I find that a little scant. We now have the chance to react defiantly against Augsburg,” he was quoted
as saying in an interview.

“I am not going to criticise anybody - we can play great football and we have a great attitude, but the results are not what we would have hoped for. In defence, we are not clearing the ball and in attack, we are not putting it
in,” he concluded.
Borussia Dortmund are coming from a 3-0 defeat in the UEFA Champions League against Olympique Marseille and recent performances have been dismal.
