The German champions have confirmed that the Polish striker will stay after a reported interest from Bayern Munich.
Borussia Dortmund manager, Jurgen Klopp, has ruled out http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robert-c31222 Lewandowski’s departure reports at the end of this season. He mentioned that the striker is not up for sale and the Borussians are in no mood to part ways with their
prized asset especially after a tremendous 2011/12 campaign.
The Black Yellows have successfully defended their crown this season and Lewandowski has played a massive role in his team’s success. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Poland-c2983 international has so far bagged 20 league goals from 32 appearances and in with a
chance to win the Golden Boot at the expense of Mario Gomez, who has 25 goals at this point in time.
Klopp clarified that Lewandowski is satisfied at the club and therefore Bayern must shy away from their interest in the attacker. The Munich giants had expressed their interest in the 23-year-old prior to facing Real Madrid in
the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League and eventually emerging as winners courtesy of a penalty shootout.
While talking to one of the sports publication, the tactician further added: "He is unavailable. Who do they think we are? Do Bayern really think they can just come along and ask 'Lewi' whether he wants to come play for them if
Mario Gomez can't play for some reason. That is utter nonsense and can be ruled out."
The two-time Bundesliga winning manager admitted that the forward will sign a new contract with the club in the next few weeks and is here to stay. He mused that the attacker has no interest in joining the Allianz Arena outfit
who also had to face the embarrassment of losing out on Marco Reus’ transfer.
Bayern were interested in recruiting Reus from the Borussia-Park but were beaten by their fierce title rivals, Dortmund. As a result, Reus signed a five-year deal with the Black Yellows and will start playing for them from next
season onwards.
Dortmund have already been crowned 2011/12 Bundesliga champions with two games still left in the competition. These two rivals will now meet for the one final time before the season closes in the final of the German Cup on May
12.
