Tottenham Hotspur attacker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Giovani-dos-Santos-c14983 has warned Tottenham that he will leave them for nothing in six month’s time if the club is unable to resolve his future this summer.
The versatile attacking midfielder, who is able to operate as a winger or a second striker, joined Tottenham Hotspur in 2008 from Spanish giants http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604. The 23-year old has scored three goals in 30 appearances for the club and has completed loan spells
with Ipswich Town, Galatasaray and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Racing-c40298 Santander over the last four seasons.
Dos Santos is a Mexican international and has been capped 58 times for his country. But the young attacker failed to break into the Tottenham first team, despite putting up impressive displays for his national team.
Even with the arrival of new manager Andre Villas-Boas, the forward’s future seems uncertain. Tottenham have signed attacking midfielder and Icelandic international Gylfi Sigurdsson from Hoffenheim and Belgian centre-half http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jan-Vertonghen-c17814 from Ajax. Their
midfield already boasts of Scott Parker, Sandro, Rafael Van Der Vaart and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c32532 may find it very difficult to stake his claim for a first team spot.
Dos Santos’ contract runs out in six months, and the attacker has revealed that he will leave the club, possibly on a free transfer, if not guaranteed fist team action.
Speaking to a Mexican newspaper, Dos Santos said:
"I'm either leaving the club this summer, or I'll sign for another club for free in six months time.”
"I am very calm [about my future]. I have a contract with Tottenham and I don't know what will happen. I might leave the club. I'm at a good team, but I want to play.”
"However, it's not my decision as to whether Tottenham sell me or hold on to me."
Dos Santos will link up with his Spurs teammates after Mexico’s Olympic campaign in London this month. The player waits on his future with the club, and is increasingly desperate to leave if not given a first team spot.
