  1. No - if there was airquakes it would. Earthquakes mean it happens on earth not in the air.

  2. no it doesn't, but i like the question...it may affect signals being sent via a grounded instrument, but the actual flight would not be affected

  3. no. youll be in the air not on EARTH

    lol

  4. No, it does not affect the plane. (The plane was Effected by the factory that built it.) It gives people in the plane the excitement of seeing buildings down there collapse if they're low enough to notice.

  5. No

  6. nope

  7. Not in the air but could affect the landing strip

  8. Earthquakes will not affect the atmosphere, but landing surfaces may be affected. So, I would say that there is an indirect effect of earthquakes on a flying airplane.  You don't want a major earthquake to destroy major airstrips; the airplane can run out of fuel and it can result it into a major disaster.

Also, radar and ground control can be also effected and that's can result in another major disaster.

  9. Maybe the earthquake would affect the air traffic controllers below, but not while the aircraft is ascending in altitude.

  10. not at all, only the ground will be affected, control tower and  the runway...
