  1. Do

    Practice your lines

    Throw yourself into the character

    project your voice

Ham it up for the audience-in theater overeacting is much safer than not enough

    DON'T

    Be afraid to improvise

freak out if you go blank- just contiue to go along with the play and ad lib and things should be fine

    break the props.

    fall off the stage

say good luck on opening night.

  2. when your acting try not to think of yourself as "acting" become your character and focus on the people your with, and the props, and creating a scene... search online for community theaters and agents in your area

  3. DO:

    know your lines

    DON'T

    bump into the furniture.

  4. Well there is a website that is free called Talent6 and you fill in some information and like female/male, your age and what state you live in then give them your e-mail. They send you a 'Weekly Casting Call' every week to your e-mail and you can check them out and possibly go to that audition. I did it and it worked. I got to be an extra in a movie. Plus if you get a part, they pay you. It is really cool.

About the agent thing, I don't know for sure but I think that they sell agents though too.
