  1. No it is not your fault, however you should have therapy regularly, and try your hardest to live a normal life. Do not use your diagnosis as an excuse to behave badly or bow out of responsibility. That would be giving your diagnosis way too much control over you. Many people live normal lives who have a mental disorder.

  2. I find, that in many cases, the BPD, was a result of cause and effect...not your fault...it is not just something that you were born with, and I don't care what anyone thinks about that...it is a result of someone Else's sin, and it was pushed off on you, to bear the burden on your poor little shoulders....find the Lord, and all will be forgiven and forgotten,..and you will move on..xx

  3. Having any mental illness, be it BPD or Depression or anything else, is not your fault. You did not choose to have this problem.

  4. it is just something you have.

    it is not your fault.

  5. It's NOT your fault, but it IS yours to deal with and change.  No one else can fix it for you.  But therapy and medication and hard work can be the best cure for it.  Finding the "Lord" is not a solution either. I don't know ANYONE who has been cured of ANYTHING by just praying.  The "Lord", whoever that is, expects you to help yourself too.  Try looking into Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).  I had BPD and it totally changed my life- more than any prayer, begging for someone to fix it, or going back and trying to make things right ever could.

  6. it is not your fault for having BPD,just like it isn't anyone elses fault for having any type of illness.Maybe the guilt you are feeling stems from things, which might of been said to you as a child and growing up had that guilt feeling, just know however what those people said to you is wrong. However you can change those type of behavoirs, which are risky and can put you in harms way.hope the best for you and know there's others out there who are going through the same thing.

  7. A mental illness is not your fault.  You could not have prevented it in any way at all, just like you can't decide what color eyes you'd like to be born with.
